My advice is to NOT wager on this game, but rather play some props....
If you only use locals and they don't offer props, then sit this one out...
My opinion

Better yet, don't bet on anything until things aren't so tight. If you're betting to get by, not good.

Teddy, this is the wrong game to try to make it all back. The SB is the most over-analyzed and highly-handicapped event in sports. If you do anything, make it a SMALL play. The only guys who make a living doing this have a HUGE bankroll of ca$h to begin with and only bet 1-2% of it on any one play. Get a student loan and go to class or get a job, then wager small with your "spare" $$.

"Im in one of the biggest slumps in my life, and I have no money to even by books for college classes"

Teddy, if this is true....please stop wagering.

# 1-How long have you been gambling to be in one of the biggest slumps of your life?
# 2-I'm in my mid-thirties, make 6 figures, and don't wager NEAR 4-500 per game.
# 3-There is a simple equation working here:
No books=Dumb Ted
Dumb Ted=No Degree
No Degree=No Job
No Job=No Money
No Money=No Women

When in college, i had MANY, MANY friends that are in the same boat is yours. There is only one way out.....

STOP NOW.

Teddy, you're probably tiring of the lectures, but here's the "standard" one.

Don't bet $$ you can't afford to lose.

Most of the guys on this board are small-timers like you and me. (1 unit = $50 for me.) I've put $700 on a game before, but that was when I was WAY up and had that much to lose. We have all chased losses and found out the hard way that it does not pay off in the long run.

As for the pros, they literally have thousands of dollars to play with, but most are disciplined enough to bet only 1-2% of their bankroll on any 1 game. I know it's easy to get caught up in the hype of people dropping "dimes" on games, but remember that the dime players are either (a) way ahead, (b) way rich to begin with, or (c) liars who are putting $20 or nothing on the game but want to sound like bigshots.

We've all been in your shoes to some degree. I advise you to quit for the year and just watch the SB, bet a coke on the game with one of your buddies. You can prove to yourself that you can walk away. The SB is my last game of the season. I don't do NBA or CBB anymore, because there are games EVERY DAY and a guy who doesn't do this for a living needs to have a life.

GL, Teddy. Walk away now, the books will still be there when you're in a better position to get back into the game. Take some time to regroup mentally and financially. You will be glad you did.

No Books

I was going to recommend selling your books and betting it all on the coin toss but I guess that is out of the question since you said you don't have book money. I guess I would agree with the guys above and quit until you get a good job. Trust me there will be a bookie or site still around.

freudian slip?

"Im open for nething"

I see two choices for you-
  1. either your subconscious mind is telling you what you need to know with the "ne"
  2. or you may be better off actually reading some of those books

this post is obviously 100% pure fiction. trust me - there is NO WAY Teddy is smart enough to get into any kind of college so for him to say he doesn't have money for books is a lie - for he isn't even smart enough to ATTEND college. my guess is he needs the money for plastic surgery - and if you have ever seen what Teddy looks like - you know THAT he needs!

Simple.Best advice is borrrow everthing you can from everyone you know and promise them 20% interest,of course max out all your credit cards, and have a yard sale Sat.,then bet everything on the Eagles money line but just be ready with a loaded gun to shoot yourself if it loses.Personally I think the patriots are going to win big but who knows you might"luck out".

Jesus Kid - go back and read your post! You're begging!

If you lose this one, what's next, standing on a street corner pan handling?

Quit now while you're ahead - a slump means that you'll probably make the wrong choice!

Study and get your degree - and if you like to invest in sporting events, then study the prognosticators. Read a ton of books and practice making your wagers until you're satisfied that you can gain a ROI on your investment.

And NEVER bet more than you can afford to lose - because you will lose!
